2. The Black Coating (Corrosion Defense)

Take a closer look at the tanks in the header image. That distinct black texture is a specialized protective coating (Coal Tar Epoxy or similar marine barrier).

Aluminum is naturally strong, but "crevice corrosion" can occur where the tank touches damp foam or stringers. This coating creates an impenetrable shield against saltwater and moisture. It ensures that the metal inside remains pristine for decades, not just years.

3. Pressure Tested for Safety

Before that coating is ever applied, every single tank undergoes a 3 PSI pressure test. We soap-test every inch of the TIG welded seams to check for even the microscopic pinholes. If the gauge drops, the tank is rejected. The result is a hermetically sealed unit that keeps fuel in and water out.
